Ga Ga over G.A.

Veggin' out day!  I'm not talking about salads, sprouts or meeting my daily requirement.

I'm talking about me, veggin' on the couch, watching a mega dose of Grey's Anatomy. Oh, yeah!  Just what the fake, tv doc ordered. LOL.

I've been busy lately, so I had to do a lot of catching up, to see the much-talked about season finale. Thank goodness for Tivo! I watched five episodes of Grey's Anatomy, back to back... lovin' every minute. It was great and the season finale lived up to its hype, big time!

High drama, hot doctors, and moving moments, had Ms. girl on a crazy, roller-coaster ride... all from the comfort of her living room couch. Say, aaah!

My joy moment today was veggin' on the couch and getting up-to-date on my favorite hospital show.

Just the medicine I needed. :-)

Sunday Driver

Sunny Sunday.  Perfect day for a ride.  Nothing on the agenda, just me and the road and some California dreaming...

Top down... rather, windows down and sun-roof open. I did say I was daydreaming. LOL. Fast sports car... my little Honda pretends to be a sports car and I let it. Wind blowing through my hair... always looks better in the movies. By the end of the ride, I looked like Einstein's sister.

But crazy hair and all, I had a great ride.

My joy moment today was going for a drive, soaking up some sunshine, enjoying the beautiful scenery and doing a little Hollywood day dreaming as I whisked past the pretty palm trees.

I love L.A. and Sunday drives.

Chat it out!

I'm learning many things during my joy journey. One of the things I've learned is that when an issue arises with another person, instead of leaving things unsaid or holding things in, it's usually better for all involved to get things out in the open and talk about it.

Sounds simple, yet many times, we may feel it's better to ignore the issue or blow it off, in order to keep the peace. But in the long run, I've found that peace is the very thing that's lost when we don't speak up.

Who likes confrontation, right?  Okay, some do, but that's for another day. For the most part, I think we all want to get along, and sometimes, we're afraid or reluctant to discuss an issue with a person because we're unsure of the outcome.

Yet, the alternative... holding it in, letting it fester, and leaving things unsaid usually does more harm than good.  Friendships and relationships are often lost due to poor communication or none at all. Sometimes we just have to talk about it. Even when it's uncomfortable. More often than not, it helps.

I had a conversation today with a friend over a matter.  My initial reaction was to let it go, but I knew it was best to address it, so it didn't snowball or cause a fallout between us.  Glad I did.  Turns out, it was a total miscommunication. They thought one thing, I thought another.  I would never have known that if I didn't broach the subject.  Neither would the other party.  We talked about it and worked everything out. Our friendship is saved... and stronger for it!

My joy moment today was my conversation with a friend to work out an issue.

A good talk, let to a good laugh and more good times ahead!

Friday, Baby!

TGIF!  Everybody loves Friday... especially, when it leads into a Monday holiday.

Three days off and hot, sunny weather is scheduled ahead.   I'm ready for the weekend!

My joy moment today was enjoying a sunny Friday and making plans to  soak up more sunshine this holiday weekend.

May we all take time to remember and honor the heroes who gave their lives serving our country.

Have a fun and safe one, everybody!

Rest Stop

Ever get really busy?  Multi-tasking, working crazy hours, handling life stuff, and barely getting any rest?  Probably, every day right?

Sooner or later the body lets you know it's time to take a break. Time to slow down.

It will give us signs that it needs attention. Headaches, feeling run down, irritability, fatigue... The signals are always there but most of the time we shake it off and keep moving.  Who has time for rest these days?

But every now and then, we must find the time to rejuvenate, renew and replenish the body.

Today was my day.  Traveling, jet lag, errands, projects, and running around on little sleep eventually caught up with me.  Even an old car has to stop in for a tune-up and an oil change.  My engine light was on, it was time for me to pull over.

Glad I finally listened. It's amazing what some good sleep will do. Give the body some rest and soon enough, you'll feel refreshed again... and able to hit the road in better working condition.

My joy moment today was finally taking a little time for rest and renewal.

Unlike a car, we can't trade the body in.  Only get one, gotta keep her running!  :-)

Quick Visit

Busy day.  My sis and her hubby were in town visiting for the day.

We logged several miles, hopping from place to place, getting in as much as we could in just a few hours.

Lunch, sightseeing, the beach, ice cream break, more sightseeing, and dinner.  They just left to head back.

My joy moment today was hanging with the fam and making the most of the time we had.

Fam time.  Always a good thing.

Going Green

Today I went shopping for some plants for the home.  I don't have any in the house. The last plant I had, several years ago, was a cactus and somehow I managed to kill that.  I decided to try again.  Plants give a sense of warmth to a place.  It was time for me to become green friendly.

Keep in mind, I don't know anything about caring for plants (hence, the dead cactus) and even when I try to follow the instructions on those little plant sticks, I still manage to kill them.  So sad, but owning up to it is the hardest part, right?!

So off I went to the garden center.  It was like Botanical Gardens in there.  A huge warehouse with gorgeous plants and flowers. Tons of beautiful potted plants, all waiting for a home (and a qualified person to care for them).  But which one do I choose?   Which ones are for the inside, which ones are for the outside?  Can they stay in those little pots?  Do I have to replant them right away?  How long should I wait?   Okay, maybe this was a bad idea. I don't want to murder another innocent plant. Are plastic flowers really that bad?!

I was just about to bolt, when a garden employee came over. Perhaps, he noticed my, "deer in the headlights look" or maybe he was wondering why I looked like a little girl lost in a forest.  Either way, I was glad he rescued me. He was helpful and gave me tips and information that lessened my anxiety and helped me decide.

I ended up buying four, pretty house plants.  Two small, two medium. Don't ask what kind, I forgot.  All I focused on was, "required little light" and "water every few days."  My translation, they pretty much raise themselves.  Perfect.

I'm hoping they will still be alive by the end of the week.

Believe it or not, my joy moment today was shopping for and purchasing beautiful plants to spruce up my home.

They are so pretty.  I'm going to do all I can to keep them that way. LOL.

Homebody

Back home.  I had a great time during my recent visit with friends and family.

Although, I'm a little jet-lagged, it's good to be home. It's time to get back to my old routines, back to my work projects and back in my own bed.

Something about the familiar always brings me comfort. Don't get me wrong, Ms. Girl loves to travel and loves a good time.  But after playtime is over, it's nice to be in the comfort of your own home.

I'm sure in a few months, I'll be itching to get away again or ready for the next adventure.  But for now, I'm going to relish being a homebody for awhile.  Never thought I'd say that, LOL.

My joy moment today is my anticipation of curling up in my bed and catching up on some much needed zzz's... and repeating that over and over again. :-)

There's no place like home.  You said it, Dorothy!

Feet on Solid Ground

Departure day. Rainy morning led to a somewhat bumpy plane ride. It made being stuck in a sardine can, all the more fun. Thankfully, it leveled off, and I could return to my infant-size bag of peanuts and shot glass of ginger ale.

Other than the fact that I can never really get comfortable, I'm a pretty good flyer. The only thing that makes me a little jumpy is the takeoff... and turbulence.  I can deal with a little bit of shakiness, but when the plastic sippy cup starts hopping, I get nervous.  So, it didn't help that the grown man sitting next to me started shrieking. Yes, I am serious. Pretty funny... now.  Before, not so much. LOL.

My joy moment today was a safe landing and the exiting of the sardine can.  I was so happy to have my feet back on solid ground.

Would've done a little dance if it wasn't for a leg cramp. :-)

Golden Girls at the Corral

What is it about buffets and seniors?  I think we all love a good buffet, but seriously, if I don't take my Mom and Gran to their favorite buffet place at least once during my visit, there will be trouble. LOL.

Their place of choice, Golden Corral. I can take them to other restaurants, with some arm twisting, but sooner or later we must hit Americas #1 buffet and grill.

Watching their routine is half the fun.  We barely get in the place before they're at the buffet line with plates in hand, scooping up their favorite dishes.  And don't let them see a new or special food selection laid out, you would think a news crew should be there.

They are on a mission and they are not alone.  Judging from the number of patrons coming in that place, Golden Corral is a big hit... and not just with seniors. Singles, groups and families are moseying up to the line, as well.

Gotta admit, the food is good and their made-from-scratch mash potatoes are delish.

My joy moment today was "getting my grub on" at Golden Corral. Just keeping my Golden Girls happy.  LOL.

Good Times!

My time with my two, fav gals has been fun.  We've been making the most of my short visit:

-Movie time with Mom and Gran... They rarely go, so it's something we enjoy doing together when I'm in town.

-Introducing Coldstone's Ice Cream to my 84-year-old grandmother... A treat in more ways than one.

-Manicure/pedicure for my senior gals... No matter what age, girls like to get primped.  My senior gals love bragging to fellow customers they're being spoiled... and I love doing it.

-Good food and sweet treats ... Mandatory.  'Nuff said!  :-)

We've enjoyed lots of laughs, hilarious picture taking, and cherished quality time.

My joy moment today was appreciating each moment and realizing how lucky I am to spend it with them.

Good times, indeed!

Aaah, Southern Living

Visiting the south is always a special treat for me.  I get to spend time with the fam and enjoy a bit of southern living.

I love the south.  It's a place where strangers are friendly.  Where acres of lush countryside bring you a sense of tranquility.  Where politeness and hospitality still seem to reign.

As I sat on the front porch of my mom's place chatting with her, I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the comings and goings around us.

As cars passed by, drivers would wave and everyone waved back. When people walked down the road, they made it a point to say, "hello."  Neighbors stopped by to chat, check on one another or help each other with a task.  That's right folks, it's a little like Mayberry... gotta love it!

The usual, "hurry up" and "gotta run" mentality is replaced with "relax" and "stay awhile"... Don't mind if I do!  :-)

My joy moment today was enjoying the laid back pace of southern life.  A place where I can slow down, rejuvenate and get centered again.  (Insert "a long, peaceful sigh", here. ) LOL.

Scratching that Itch

I bought a lottery scratch-off today. My secret little vice. I don't know what it is about them. For some reason, I continue to buy scratch-offs, even though the most I ever win is about $5 dollars.

As usual, I went through the tickets with no luck.  It's always the same routine. I quickly scratch them off and in the end, all I'm left with is a little pile of dust in my lap.

I was chastising myself about my silly little vice, when I scratched off the last ticket and was shocked to see that one of my numbers matched a winning number.  $50 bucks was the prize!  I looked again and realized I had more than one number that matched the winning numbers.  The more I checked, the more matching numbers I had, and each time the prize was $50 bucks.

Turns out, I won a total of $250 dollars!  Whoo-Hoo! It's about time! Come to Mama.

My joy moment today was winning some cash in the lottery.

Time to quit while I'm ahead.  Back to my old vice...  retail therapy!  LOL.  Just kidding!

Southern Cooking

One benefit from living out of town is that when you go home to visit the fam, they love to cook for you.  And I try to make them as happy as possibly by indulging in it. LOL.

I woke up today to a nice breakfast prepared by my mom.  Yum. The night before, my mom and grandmother prepared a big dinner for me. Southern delicacies like ribs, collard greens, pinto beans, cornbread and much more. Delish. If lovin' them is wrong, I don't wanna be right.

For dessert, banana pudding. I think this may be a plot to get me to move back. They know my weakness.  And where's my luggage?!   Just kidding.   Found it... in the shed.  Hmmm.  :-)

My joy moment today was enjoying southern home cooking made by my two favorite ladies.

God Bless the Cooks!

Down Home Love

Farewell, New York. My wonderful visit has come to an end.  I must leave the fast, city life for some sweet, country living.  Next stop, the south. Home of two, fab ladies... my mom and grandmom.

My mom has been so excited about my pending visit.  She emailed and called me almost every day this week, leading up to tonight's arrival. Then, my grandmother and her were at the airport 30 minutes early, just to make sure they would be there on time to greet me.

One of my favorite moments of every visit is our meeting in the baggage claim area. They're always waiting with a big, warm welcome.  Just picture, two senior gals waving, squealing, laughing, smiling, and simultaneously lunging forward to give me hugs and kisses.

They're the best welcoming party, ever!  I love those ladies and I'm always so happy when I get to spend time with them.

My joy moment today was my reunion with my Mom and Grandmom... and their awesome, down home love.  Right back at ya, Mom and Gran!

Denzel Sighting

Great day!  Two words.  Denzel Washington.

A few friends and I, went to see the Broadway play, "Fences" starring Denzel Washington.

It was amazing!  Great show. Denzel is wonderful and his co-star, Viola Davis, does a fabulous job, too.

After the show, there was a huge crowd waiting outside to see if they could catch a glimpse of Denzel as he exited the theater. I waited for a few minutes, then thought, this will never happen and was about to leave, when all of a sudden, he walked out. The crowd went ballistic!  It was crazy. It was like one of those Beatles groupie moments. Everyone was screaming and snapping pictures as he waved to the crowd and shook hands with them.  I have to admit, it was kind of cool to witness.  And yes, I screamed... just a little. LOL.

Denzel was very gracious... and sexy!   He's as handsome in person as he is on the big screen... in case you were wondering.

Can you guess what my joy moment was today?  LOL.  Seeing Denzel Washington, LIVE, in action and up close.

It made this girl's day!

Fire up the grill!

There's nothing like a barbecue on a beautiful, sunny day. Hot dogs, hamburgers, and chicken sizzling on the grill.  Veggies, corn, and yummy snacks and treats, being consumed nearby.

What do we need to make the barbecue complete?  Good friends and family.

During my visit to New York I've been staying with a close friend of mine.  She was kind enough to open up her home to a few of my family members who were coming to visit with me today... and she decided have a barbecue party for them, to boot!  It was great barbecue and everyone had a wonderful time.

I enjoyed spending time with relatives that I haven't seen in awhile. We shared many pictures and stories from back in the day.  My family and her family also had a a good time getting to know each other.

My friend was a wonderful hostess and can multi-task with the best of them. She fired up the grill, made everyone comfortable and had a great time, herself!

My joy moments today were a fun visit from my family members, a great barbecue party, and my gratitude for having an amazing friend who is one of the best pals a girl could have.

I love a good BBQ!

Rockin' Reunion

Tonight an old friend and I got together for dinner for the first time... in 15 years!  He was one of my fav buds and I was so happy that we re-connected. Oddly enough, I have to give Facebook the credit.   Not that they need any publicity, but I have to give them a high-five for this reunion.

My friend and I met in college.  Our personalities clicked right away and we became instant friends.  The friendship continued long after graduation, but we eventually fell out of contact after I moved away.

He was one of the funniest people I knew... and still is!  He had me laughing so hard I could hardly breathe.  We were both very happy to see each other again... and it showed.  Our non-stop talking and laughing got pretty lively and loud. Thank goodness for noisy restaurants. LOL.

After about 4 hours, we left to attend an event at our alma mater... the place where it all started... and continued our reunion party with more food, desserts and dancing!

My friend lives in New York with his family and I live in California near my sassy friends, but our reunion tonight put our friendship back on track. Three thousand miles apart or not, we're staying connected, this time!

My joy moment today was seeing my very dear friend after 15 years. We had the best time hanging out tonight and we're looking forward to more fun times ahead.

"The View"- TV Show!

Today I went to a taping of the ABC daytime show, "The View."  So much fun!

A contact of mine was able to get me two tickets, so I took a good friend who is a big fan of the show.

My contact gave us the star treatment and our pick of choice seats in the studio.

It was a great show with appearances by Marcia Cross from "Desperate Housewives" and acting veteran, Vanessa Redgrave. Later, we were able to take a picture with Sherri Shephard, one of the hosts, and the executive producer of the show, Bill Geddie.

My joy moment today was attending a taping of "The View" with my good friend and fellow fan of the show. She really enjoyed it and I was happy to share the experience with her.

Visiting Day!

Fun day today.   I enjoyed a great lunch with a friend that I haven't seen in a long time.

We sat for hours catching up on the last three years and reminiscing about the old days.  We were having such a great time laughing and spending time with each other, lunch-time almost spilled into dinner-time.  And still, neither of us wanted it to end.

I also met up with my brother today for a visit.  Even more laughter and fun.  Just the two of us, sitting at a kitchen table, chatting for hours.  Once again, neither of us wanted to part.

During both visits, we were all lost in conversation, forgetting about the time and everything else going on around us. That's a great visit.

My joy moments today were spending time with people I love and adore. I feel blessed to have them both in my life.

It was a good day.

Shoe Mania Pt. 2

I am not a shoe-a-holic. I promise. But there I was again today, shopping for shoes.

Actually, I was helping out my friend.  During our first excursion yesterday, she didn't find the particular pair of shoes she needed.  I went with her again today to help her look, because friends don't let friends shoe-shop alone.  That's just wrong.

We stopped by a new store that had great shoes, great prices and a 20% discount sale.  We hit the jackpot, right?!  Guess who found a pair... me.  Guess who didn't... her.   Not good.  This was getting ugly.

For some reason, my friend wasn't having any luck.  I must have selected a dozen shoes for her to try but for one reason or another, none of them worked.  Did I mention, she's picky?  LOL. But I stayed positive, we will find the perfect pair!  I hoped.  So we kept searching.  We stopped at shoe stores, clothing stores, department stores... any store with shoes that didn't belong to a human foot.

This was turning into a shoe marathon. But don't they at least throw you a bottle of water during a marathon?!  Not on this route. This was shoe mania!

Finally, at about the 6th store, I suggested a pair that she liked and worked for her particular need.

Oh!  Happy!  Day!   I would have done the happy dance but my feet were numb.

My joy moment today was helping my friend find the perfect pair of shoes.

I was glad to help.... And she better wear those babies every day until the end of summer. LOL.

Just kidding, my friend!

Shoe Mania

"Let's go shoe shopping."  Words every women likes to hear.  It's right up there with, "Have you lost weight?" and "Don't cook, let's go out to dinner."

Today a friend of mine suggested we go shoe shopping at a couple of her favorite stores.  I happily obliged.  Off we went, my friend, her daughter and I, on a shoe shopping adventure.

She took us to one of those big, outlet stores where the entire place is filled with row, after row, after row of shoes.  It's a beautiful thing and always makes me a little giddy at the sight of it.  Dressy shoes, casual shoes, sandals, flip flops, boots, high heels, low heels, wedges, platforms... a fiesta of footwear!  Okay, little carried away, but you get my point.

The three of us spent hours (several!) in the stores looking and trying on countless shoes. Even her little girl was caught up in the action, and she's only seven!  What can I say, it's in a women's DNA.

It was exhausting and exhilarating all at the same time. LOL.   And did I mention they had handbags, too?  How much can a girl take?!

My joy moment today was shoe shopping with a friend and finding fab footwear.

Now all I need is a good foot masseuse. :-)

Mommy Day!

Thank goodness for mothers.
Today I was surrounded by many of my beautiful mommy friends and their families. It was a treat to share in the day's celebration with them.

Although, I wasn't with my mother and grandmother today, I was blessed to be able to call them and send them my love and appreciation over the phone.

Mothers are special people. They are the ones we cry for as babies to feel safe, the ones we call first when we have big news, the ones we look for in the stands or during those special moments in our lives. They're usually are biggest cheerleaders... whether we've given them something to cheer about or not. :-)

My joy moment today was the celebration of Mother's day.  I'm not a mother yet but I feel fortunate to have generations of friends and family, that give me stellar examples of supportive and loving mothers.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms!

Fun Wedding

Today was the big day.  I attended my dear friend's wedding.   It was beautiful... and fun.

From the start, everyone was in good spirits, as my friend, always the comedian, made fun gestures as he walked to the alter. Even during the exchange of vows, he had his bride and all the guests laughing.

Afterwards, while the wedding party were taking pictures, guests were served all the food and drink they could want. So much, that it barely left any room for the main course.  Those folks know how to throw a party!

Our seating was great, too.  We had a fun and friendly group at our table and we all bonded nicely. Good call, my groom friend.

Throughout the night, there was a nice selection of music and lots of laughs, watching my friend, the groom, attempt to dance or rather, find his rhythm. LOL.

Surprise of the night for me... I caught the bouquet!  First time!  It was hilarious.  Let's hope that "single gal" custom kicks in, LOL.

My joy moment today was attending a lively wedding and sharing in the special day of my dear friend and his bride.  And catching the bouquet, too!

A fun wedding, indeed.

Girl's Night Out

Child's Play

I'm enjoying visiting and spending time with my six-year-old, goddaughter. I hate to brag but the kid is talented and quite the entertainer. Her mother and I laughed hysterically as she did spot-on imitations of several family members, including me!

She's also very smart, loves to read and is an amazing speller.  As I discovered, when I threw several advanced words at her and she swiftly spelled each one... without batting an eye.  I'm so proud!

I also had a great time playing "patty cake", hand games with her.   My attempts to keep up with her and learn the sassier, updated versions of the old-school hand games, was pure comedy for the both of us.

My joy moment today was spending quality time with my lovely goddaughter and finding out new things about her.

She is pure joy!

Friendly Skies

Today is departure day. Destination, NYC.  But first, I had to get through the LAX airport. Not an easy feat today.  To the surprise of many, the security check-point line was pretty long... extremely.  The end of the line was outside the building!  And down the block!  It wound it's way all the way through the airport, then continued again upstairs on another line that finally led to the security gate. It was like a amusement park line, without any of the amusement.
But after that, it's been pretty smooth sailing.  We had swift boarding and the flight left on time.  It’s a pretty empty jetliner, too.  I have an entire row all to myself.  Yeah, baby!  And, we’re scheduled to get in earlier than originally planned... by about 45 minutes!  Guess, they’re really sorry about earlier.
Almost makes up for the baggage fees. Almost. LOL.
Friendly flight attendants, clear skies and a smooth flight.  Gotta love it.
My joy moment today (so far) is my flight headed to NY.

Looking forward to a soft landing and a big hug from my adorable goddaughter.
Can’t wait.

Hot Beef!

As you may have read from some of my posts, I've been trying to watch what I eat lately. I have just a few more days until my friend's wedding and I can't risk not fitting into my dress. Let's just say, it has little room to spare.

So, I've been trying to be good these last few days. Today, I had a snack bar for breakfast and a salad with a sandwich for lunch.

Then dinner time rolled around and I hit a snag. It wasn't my fault, really.

There was this big, juicy, blue cheese burger flirting with me. Seriously! It was relentless. Then it started whispering my name... and in a very seductive voice, too! It said, "You know you want me." I said, "No, I don't! I can't have you, it isn't right."

Then it lifted it's bun and showed me all of it's delicious condiments.

What's a girl to do under that kind of pressure?! So I said to myself, "Just one bite, Ms. Girl. A little taste won't hurt you."

Next thing I knew, it was gone. The whole darn thing! Someone had to shut it up. LOL.

My joy moment today was indulging in a delicious (oh, yes, it was!) burger. Hopefully, I won't be bulging out of my dress because of it.

We'll see.

Perfect Alignment... We're getting there.

I love it when a plan comes together. I've been trying to put an itinerary together for my upcoming trip.  It's been 2-3 years since I've been to New York and I'm looking forward to seeing many of my fam and friends and getting in a few events, too.

My goal was to plan a schedule that allowed me to do it all, but it's been a little tricky with schedules, dates, etc.  But all of sudden, it seems like it's starting to come together.

I had a couple of special events I hoped to attend, and today, I received information that it may happen. Mum's the word for now, details to come.

I'm also getting wonderful emails from friends and family who are looking forward to connecting... and  have flexible schedules!  Seems like their available dates will intersect nicely.  Crossing fingers!

My joy moment today was my excitement that my trip plans are starting to pan out.  It's hard to get everything in when you're visiting, but Ms. Girl is making a valiant effort.  LOL.

It's a pretty packed schedule but I'm looking forward to all of it.
Details to come!  :-)

Prepping for the Affair

I'm heading out of town in a few days for a friend's wedding.

I'm looking forward to seeing my dear friend and meeting his beautiful bride.

Preparation for a wedding is a big job.  For us gals, there's the dress, the shoes, the hair, the nails, the jewelry... and I'm not even the bride!  LOL.  But it's all fun and for a dear friend's wonderful union.

I have a few more things to do, then I can finally start packing it all up.  I'm just missing one more thing... a date!   LOL!

My joy moment today was the last minute prep and excitement for my friend's big day.  And later... learning I have two date offers for the fab affair.  I think I like this wedding stuff.   LOL.

I got next! LOL.

My cell phone has been on the blink.  It's been slowly dying for almost a year. The text keys don't always work, other functions sometimes go haywire, and the phone shuts off when it feels like it... even when it's fully charged!

It's past time for a new phone.

I stopped by the Apple Store today.  It was packed.  For a minute I thought they were giving away stuff in there. They weren't. I checked. LOL.

That place is like a toy store for adults.  Everyone in there is wide-eyed with excitement and playing with some gadget.  It's contagious.

I calmly moseyed over to the phone section, just to look, and there it was. I couldn't help myself. I caught the fever! I got an IPhone! Three words.  Oh. My. Goodness! It's Disneyland in your hands. It does tons of fun stuff and it's crazy convenient. Is it wrong to love a phone?  Kidding. LOL.  Sort of. LOL.

I decided it would be my one, big treat to myself... for the next year! You hear that, Apple store!  The only Apple aisles I'll be visiting are the ones at the grocery store... For now. :-)

My joy moment today was treating myself to a fun, new gadget, the IPhone.

Now, if I can just figure out how to do my blog on it.  But I'm sure there's an app for that. :-)

Stay tuned :-)
